ABOUT SOLOFLEX COMPOUND BOWSTRING/CABLES

Q.- I see that sometimes final color looks different that showed in your web-configurator. It´s normal?
A.- Yes. White serving ( that turns clear-translucent ) and other clear serving colors like fluor colors, mute their color effect when applied over diferent strand colors. If serve with fluor yellow over blue, the serving will looks Green. Other example is red serving over black strands , will looks like a very dark red.

Q.- Do you have in stock the bowtrings / cables I need?
A.- No. We made to order your set/cables and recurve/traditional bowstrings at your exact specifications, personal needs and preferences.

Q.- How long does it take to make the SoloFlex string and cables?
A.- Our usual lead time is two-three working days, after payment received, for prepare and delivery to transport. In peak seasons could be longer.

Q.- How are measured the length of my compound / crossbow bowstring and cables ?
A.- We follow ATA rules. Two cilindrical posts of 1/4" diameter using a force of 100 pounds.

Q.- Where can I found the bowstring/cables lengths/specifications for place an order?
A.- You have different sources to find it. First option is look on your bow limb for a manufactures decal with string sizes. - Ask your dealer or proshop where you bought the bow - Search the bow manufacturer support page. Most of them have charts with the lengths required - Use our search help. Perhaps we have the info you need - Finally you can measure your self.

Q.- The holding weight of my bow change when I put a new set. What´s happening?
A.- We make the bowstring and cables at exact length ordered, this is what we do. Time by time a particular bow can loose or take some hold weight or change the draw length. In most of this cases you can twist or untwist the bowstring/cable to fit your specs. However not all bows are created equally, so need different bowstring/length that published by bow manufacturer.

Q.- Can I order the string and cables with different materials.
A.- Yes , you can order the bowstrings and cables in different versions, also in different colors. Just need to order separately, not as a set. This option need you have technical knowlegde. If you go with this way to order your bowstring and cables, we recommend the use cables of Carrera99.V.44 for stability and string of Carrera99.V.22 or Carrera99 bowstrings/cables

Q.- SoloFlex bowstrings have weights installed?
A.- SoloFlex bowstrings do not have weights as standard. As extra option we offer install Turbo Buttons. Also we offer the PowerBalls, for DIY installation.

Q.- What´s cable guard served option in Full Custom model?
A.- It´s an extra protection, serving the cables área where in contact with the cable guard slide. The slide can be in plastic or roller.

Q.-What is the difference between Carrera99 , Carrera.v.22 and Carrera99.v.44?
A.- Carrera99 SPEED bowstrings/cables are our fastest bowstring.

Carrera99.v.22 ALL SEASON bowstrings/cables are fast and stables in most weather conditions.

Carrera99.v.44 XTREME. bowtrings/cables have offer good arrow speed and absolute stable in any weather condition.

What is pinstripe?
A.- Pinstripe is a contrast color strand. Just for esthetics.

Q.- What is turbo button installed as option in FLEX ARCHERY Full Custom SoloFlex bowstrings?
A.- It´s a rubber piece that add some weight to the bowstrings. Add some speed to the bowstrings. Can be move for best performance.

Q.- Are fibers pre-strectched before the string/cables are made?
A.- All Carrera99 familiy bowstrings and cables are stretched during the fiber processing. We apply a certain combination of force, temperature and time for stabilize and prepare the material for made the best bowstring posible. Then we follow a step by step process of winding, pre-serving, twist, and final winding with protection material. Quality control is apply during the entire process. This is unique in the archery bowstring industry, from the born of the fiber to the final product, all maded in house.

Q.- What force/tension is applied to fibers during the bowstring/cable manufacture process?
A.-Fibers are conditioned before start the string/cable manufacture so we apply a linear force to eliminate the differences produced during the bundling of the string/cable and have the threads works together like one . This force is variable during all steps, pre-assembled, twist, and serving. Forces from 200 to 350 pounds is applied.

Q.- What colours are available?
A.- The available colors are those that appear on the web.

Q.- Can I choose a custom serving color?
A.- Serving Color option is available in Full Custom SoloFlex bowstrings and cables.

Q.-What is the difference between CUSTOM and FULL CUSTOM SoloFlex strings and cables?
A.-In SoloFlex Custom sets of bowstrings and cables, you can choose the strands color/s up to two. In FLEX ARCHERY SoloFlex Full Custom models you can choose, the strands color/s, pinstripe color, turbo buttons installed and serving color. The quality and making process is the same.

Q.- What kind of serving material you use?
A.- We use braided threads made with original Dyneema SK75 on zones where the bowstring / cables are in contact with metal parts. For center servings we use braided hybrid Dyneema SK 75 and polyester.

Q.- Do you make clear servings?
A.- Clear serving material not exist. We use White Dyneema SK75 that turns translucent-clear during the winding process, because the tension when apply. The visual effect is much better over clear string material, than over dark colors.
